Longchamp: the lay out
Longchamp racecourse stretches over 57 hectares between the Seine and the Bois de Boulogne. Its idiosyncrasies include the mill, the lake and the wood. 17 hectares are used for the course's four tracks: the large track (2,750 metres), the average-sized track (2,500 metres), the small track (2,150 metres) and the sprint track (1,000 metres). There are 46 different starting posts for tracks from 1,000 to 4,000 metres long.
The Finish line extends over some 650 metres to the 2nd post.
